RENK的歷史可以追溯到1873年，當時Johann Julius RENK在奧格斯堡的Lechviertel為齒輪的機械生產建立了一個小型機加工車間。1879年，這家年輕的公司搬到了Goggingen社區，直到今天RENK的總部仍在那里。公司于1897年改制為股份制公司，從1923年起，將公司整合到現在的MAN集團。

  在2011年大眾汽車(Volkswagen AG)收購MAN SE的多數股權時，RENK也加入了大眾集團。今天，RENK已成為全球高質量驅動技術供應商。該公司在奧格斯堡、萊茵河和漢諾威的分公司是主要的生產基地。

  RENK滑動軸承由德國漢諾威廠（RENK AG Hannover Plant）生產，與電動機相關的主要軸承型號有EF系列，EM系列，ER/EG系列，ZM系列。
